School Council
School Council met in the Library on Friday 3rd October, 2025 for their first meeting of the year.
Topics for discussion were: Food For Life, litter, Play Consultation, school dinners, reading books.
The councillors talked about using the raised beds in the Forest School area to grow fruit and vegetables in the Spring and Summer Term for eating, using in Food Technology lessons and possibly selling for fundraising. Classes were set to choose the types of seeds to grow as well as clearing out their raised beds over the winter.
Councillors agreed to get some litter pickers to help with litter on the playground as well as speaking to their classes about using bins, particularly food bins.
Councillors contributed their voices to ideas about play equipment. They wanted more tractor tyres, basketball posts, mud kitchens and for the toilets to be kept clean and tidy.
Councillors gave feedback on Norse school meals which will be passed on to the company.
Councilors requested new books for class book corners which could be the subject of targeted fundraising this year.
