English

In English, we are writing persuasive advertisements to sell a Celtic roundhouse. We are focusing on engaging the reader by using boastful language and a range of punctuation. Our writing is based on a model text selling a Roman villa. Children have been learning to retell the text through the use of a story map and actions.

Maths

In maths, we are expanding our knowledge of multiplication and division by practising the skills needed to multiply and divide bigger numbers.  Children can continue to use Times Tables Rock Stars at home to work on their multiplication bonds, or may want to try out some games from Top Marks as part of their home learning.
